Biography

Ahsoka Tano was born on the planet Shili and raised by her parents Pav-Ti and Nak-il Tano. From a young age she displayed a remarkable aptitude for the force. When she was very young Master Plo Koon took her into the Jedi Order and she was raised on Coruscant. When she was 14 Ahsoka was granted the rank of Padawan and began studying under Anakin Skywalker. In spite of their rough start, Anakin and Ahsoka soon became a powerful duo in the Clone Wars. Ahsoka also fought alongside Clone Captain Rex of the 501st battalion. Despite her young age she was commander of clone battalions and though she made mistakes she served them well, gaining their trust and respect. As the war continued, Ahsoka matured into a great leader. She learned from the best: Obi Wan Kenobi, Padmé Amidala, and many more. Though she occasionally made mistakes, she proved a great asset for the republic army.
Her fate took a turn for the worst when Ahsoka was framed for a bombing of the Jedi Temple. Though she tried desperately to clear her name, Ahsoka was captured, stripped of her Padawan status, and expelled from the Jedi Order. Even though her name was eventually cleared, Ahsoka had lost her faith in the Jedi Order and when she was asked to return she rejected the offer, instead electing to forge her own path.
For a while Ahsoka spent her time in the Coruscant underworld, helping out those she could. However eventually she crossed paths with Bo-Katan Kryze who asked for her help in defeating the sith lord Darth Maul who had taken over Mandalore. Ahsoka agreed to help and ended up once again crossing paths with her old master and friend Anakin. Anakin returned Ahsoka’s lightsabers to her and she was ready to fight to save Mandalore with Captain Rex and the 501st by her side.
Ahsoka and the 501st eventually captured Maul and decided to take him back to Coruscant and deliver him to the Jedi Council. While they were on transit to Coruscant, Darth Sidious executed Order 66, causing all the clones to turn against their Jedi Masters and kill them. Ahsoka, with the help of some droids, removed Rex’s inhibitor chip, allowing him to resist the order and together Ahsoka and Rex escaped just as Maul blew up the ship they were on, causing it to crash on a nearby moon. All of their friends died in the crash and Ahsoka and Rex returned to the moon to bury them. Defeated, Ahsoka left her sabers at the grave of her fallen comrades.
After the events of Order 66 Ahsoka went into hiding, living on a farm and living under the alias Ashla. When an accident forced Ahsoka to reveal her Jedi Powers Inquisitors came knocking at her door. With the help of Bail Organa she escaped and agreed to join the rebellion under the code name Fulcrum. She rebuilt her lightsabers using purified Sith Kyber crystals, giving them their iconic white coloration. During her time with the rebellion she worked closely with the crew of the Ghost. Eventually, Ahsoka uncovered the truth about what had become of Anakin Skywalker. Eventually the former padawan clashed with her old master in a fight at the Sith Temple on Malachor. She was close to death and many thought she was lost. Luckily, Ezra Bridger saved Ahsoka Tano from that near-fatal duel, pulling her safely through a mysterious portal in the World Between Worlds just as the temple collapsed around Tano and Vader.
After the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka continued to fight for good. She sought out
Magistrate Morgan Elsbeth in search of the infamous Admiral Thrawn. She ran into Din Djarin and Grogu and helped guide them down the path of finding Grogu a Jedi Master. She also spent some time at Luke Skywalker’s Jedi Academy as it was being built on Ossus. For a time, Ahsoka trained Sabine Wren in the ways of the Jedi Order before she walked away from her apprentice, fearing that her anger over the destruction of Mandalore would make her dangerous.
However during all of this, Ahsoka’s main goal was to find and neutralize Admiral Thrawn, making sure that he would never terrorize the galaxy again. When Ahsoka found a Star Map leading to Thrawn, she took it to her old Padawan Sabine to decrypt. Though Sabine did decode the old Star Map it was stolen by Shin Hati who was working for Morgan Elsbeth in a quest to return Thrawn to power. Ahsoka and Sabine eventually tracked down Elsebeth and their crew and battled them for the Star Map. Ahsoka was bested in this battle and was sent plummeting off a cliff. In her grief, Sabine agreed to travel with Elsebeth and her crew to Thrawn’s location with the condition that she would be allowed to save her old friend Ezra Bridger.
Ahsoka awoke in the World Between Worlds to find Anakin Skywalker there to teach her one last lesson. When she left the World Between Worlds she was saved by General Hera and then she traveled to save Sabine from Elsebeth’s crew. She was united with Sabine and Ezra. Despite all their efforts to stop Grand Admiral Thrawn and his allies, the Great Mothers, Thrawn escaped, leaving Tano stranded with her apprentice and a badly damaged ship.

Her Lightsabers

Ahsoka Tano actually wielded 2 lightsabers, one normal size and one shoto, or shorter saber. Both weapons are single bladed sabers. Ahsoka fights in the Jar'Kai style, dual wielding with a reverse grip. Though her sabers were originally green, after her departure from the Jedi Order, Anakin tampered with them, turning them blue. She wielded her blue sabers until the end of the Clone Wars when she abandoned them at the grave of her fallen comrades.
Over a year after the end of the Clone Wars, Tano built herself a new pair of lightsabers, these ones with curved hilts and white blades, from components she'd picked up on her travels and kyber crystals reclaimed from the lightsaber of the Imperial Inquisitor known as the Sixth Brother.

Lightsaber Form

Ahsoka uses a modified form of Form 5 called Shien that uses two lightsabers. Form 5 focuses on close quarters, offensive combat. Shein also employs a backwards grip, evident in ahsoka’s style.
