Everything we Know about Andor Season 2

       As an Andor fan it can often feel as though the world has forgotten about this beloved TV show in lieu of the massive success the Mandoverse has had.However, fear not, Andor has not left the world just yet, we still have season 2 to look forward to. To give Andor and that much needed attention, here is everything we know about season 2 so far.

       Though not much has been revealed about the plot of season two we can take a guess at the general plot from the little nuggets of information that have been dropped. The actor who plays Cassian Andor, Diego Luna, said that, "This second part will follow Cassian over the period of four years as he grows into the hero we see make the ultimate sacrifice in Rogue One." According to Kyle Soller, who plays Syril Karn, for season two the production team is "turning it up to 11.There's just more people, more planets, more worlds.” From these two quotes it’s fair to say that season 2 will most likely follow Cassian through his efforts to build the rebellion into what we know it as at the beginning of A New Hope. This effort will probably take him across the galaxy where he will meet many new people, friends and foes. Though nothing is confirmed, a few exciting cameos during this season would not be surprising.

       No official release date for season 2 has been announced, however we can take a guess based on what information we do have. Andor season 2 started filming in 2022 but stopped 2 weeks before finishing due to the strikes. After the strikes were over, the series started filming again and officially completed production in February 2024. Given the normal post production times for Science Fiction shows we can expect to see Andor season 2 sometime in early to mid 2025.

       Not much information is officially confirmed about Andor season 2. For all we know the season could heavily feature a Jawa cooking show. However, from what we do know, it’s fair to say we have a lot to look forward to when season 2 is finally released.
